The daily program at Camp Green Lane is divided into six activity periods. Of those six, swim instruction is held every other day, and free swim is every afternoon. Our scheduling philosophy is to provide a balance each day of active (i.e. soccer, basketball) and passive (bumper boats, arts and crafts) activities; we believe in choice within structure. Each week every camper chooses an area of specialization (elective) that they will go to for one period every other day. Every camp activity is available for elective from basketball to water skiing to making friendship bracelets and tie-dying tee shirts. In this way we can accomodate the special interests and needs of every camper. At the end of a week, the campers re-select their elective and can either choose a new activity or the same one all over again.

Each night we run up to six different evening activities based on age and gender. Of course, the older the kids get, the more social interaction there is, but most nights we have three different boys activities and three different girls activities. That way, when they do get together, it makes it more special. Favorite night activities are campfires, talent shows, games, scavenger hunts, lip syncs, Friday night services, and lots of other camp favorites.

We do take the kids on occasional trips. Our usual trips are to an ice skating rink, bowling alley, Dorney Park in Allentown, a farmers market, and a minor league baseball game. In addition our oldest kids go tubing and to Hershey Park.

Our Special Days during camp are ones the kids really look forward to. Among them are Olympic Games, Steeplechase Day, Water Day, Halloween in July, Carnival Day, and of course Color Days - a week of exciting, frenetic, hectic, games, skits, and songs!

Our unique camp within a camp concept allows the kids to receive individualized attention from professional, certified coaches and instructors in many areas. i.e.-basketball, soccer, hockey, dance, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse, baseball, and others without ever having to leave the Green Lane arches.
