Camp Green Lane is “where happiness counts” for both campers and staff. Our counseling staff numbers approximately 115 college age people, plus an additional 30 ‘adults’ in key supervisory positions. Our cabin counselors (two per cabin) spend full time with their kids, while specialists are at their activity during the day and with the kids in the evening.

The majority of our staff have grown up with us – that is they were once campers at CGL – but we are always looking for, and welcome new, energetic people to bring us new enthusiasm and ideas. We truly believe that the counselors are the heart of the camp! It is their ability to form special bonds with their campers that make camp such a special place. A counselor has to be a doctor, lawyer, entertainer, humorist, comforter, arbitrator, athlete, artist, and idol – all at the same time!

For all of this you will be paid enough to buy some textbooks and clothing, and get enough free time to barely rest your nerves. At the end of the summer, as you wave goodbye to the kids with tear filled eyes, you’ll be amazed how much you’ve learned about yourself, say “wow, that was amazing,” and realize you’ve made friends you’ll stay in touch with forever.
